About the project
PBC were appointed as Landlord Surveyors to provide independent professional advice, consultancy services and oversee and manage World Heart Beat’s Licence for Alterations application through to completion of the fit-out.
World Heart Beat is a vibrant cultural and music education hub located in the heart of Embassy Gardens, Nine Elms. Purpose-built to inspire the next generation of musicians, the state-of-the-art venue brings together world-class performance spaces, professional recording studios, rehearsal rooms and teaching facilities under one roof.
Positioned within the rapidly evolving Nine Elms cultural district, World Heart Beat serves as both a community music academy and an intimate performance venue, hosting concerts, workshops and educational programmes throughout the year.
Challenges
World class artists and performers require world class facilities. World Heart Beat’s modern design and acoustically refined spaces required careful consideration throughout and robust acoustic designs to ensure the spaces were suitably soundproofed to guarantee no noise ‘break-out’ and disturbances to the wider Embassy Gardens estate and residents.
Accordingly, assistance from acousticians was required throughout the approvals processes carefully consider this aspect of the design alongside Project & Building Consultancy.
